Finally, after 5 years, Narendra Modi manages to reach Ayodhya. Just wow!
I am stung by his hypocrisy, because all these 5 years, neither Modi nor his mantris, barring a few, talked about Ram Mandir and Ayodhya. Now that it is election time, Mr. Narendra Modi has finally found time to go to the birthplace of Lord Rama, the One who skyrocketed Bhartiya Janata Party to the heights of political power.
Are you an Aapiya?
All there years, I was shouting from the rooftops about the lack of commitment of the BJP toward the Ram Mandir. But, I was always opposed by the 'Modi Momins' for whom Modi and Hindutva are one and the same! 'Don't criticize Modi', was their constant refrain because by doing so, 'you are proving yourself as an Aapiya/ Congtard', according to these latter-day Momins.
I am not calling them 'Bhakts' or 'Andh Bhakts' because being a Bhakt is like wearing a badge of honor. This word should always be used in conjunction with Bhagwan. A Bhakt is an honorable title to me.

Nothing for Ram Mandir
Has the Bhartiya Janata Party done anything for Ram Mandir?
My answer- No.
The only contribution of the party is the inclusion of Mandir in its various poll manifestoes.
Ram Mandir was in the 2014 Lok Sabha election manifesto and it was once again included in the 2017 UP Assembly elections by the BJP.
But what did the party do about it?
Nothing except admitting the likes of Naresh Agarwal who openly abuses Lord Rama and Sita Mata as drunkards!
In fact, if you look at all the various actions of Modi all these 5 years, you will find absolutely nothing about Ram Mandir! Remember, Lord Ram is still braving heat, cold and rains under a plastic sheet all these years! In the meantime, the darling of the BJP, Atal Behari Vajpayee has found for himself an Rs. 100 crore memorial!
Mr. Modi himself lives in a palatial bungalow in Delhi. Mr. Lal Krishna Advani puts up in a massive house on Prithviraj Road, and the other big ministers of the Modi government have big houses to themselves. Even Yogi Adityanath lives in an exclusive bungalow in Lucknow. So much so for the commitment of the BJP toward the Ram Mandir cause.
You would be even surprised to know that the BJP is not a party to the ongoing court case involving Ramjanma Bhumi in Ayodhya! Can you believe it?
Desperate Measures
Now that we are in the thick of elections, and the BJP is finding it difficult to win, Mr. Modi has decided to visit Ayodhya! He hopes to get votes from the Hindutva voters all over from North India.
While we support Mr. Narendra Modi and the BJP to win the Lok Sabha elections by a majority, we find the attitude of these two entities completely hypocritical on Ayodhya. We can only hope that the BJP takes concrete steps to build a magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
