Durga temple demolition-did we vote BJP to see our gods trampled

The Durga temple demolition issue by Muslims of Chandni Chowk raises several questions and answers for all the Hindus. Our Hindu temples are not safe even under the Narendra Modi government.
Did we vote the BJP to see our gods trampled?

No temples for 600 years!

In 1192, the victorious Turk armies stomped into Delhi after defeating the combined armies of the Tomars and the Chauhans in the Battle of Tarain. From that year until the late 18th century, Hindus lost all their temples in Delhi and the rest of north India. They watched all their devsthans being demolished and later turned into mosques, dargahs, and graveyards. Hindus could not make new temples in Delhi during that period. If they made one, it would be quickly demolished.

Whatever temples you see today have been made from late 18th-century onwards when the Marathas took over Delhi from the decadent Mughals.

That situation might erupt again if we ignored the Durga temple demolition issue as yet another law and order issue. The press is trying to make it as some sort of a 'parking issue' and in the process shying away from the danger of Wahabi Islam.

The Durga temple that was plundered by a mob of Muslims lies in the Lal Kuan area of Old Delhi. It is just a few hundred meters behind the famous Fathepuri Masjid of Chandni Chowk. Close by is the world famous Spice Market with its several Hindu-owned shops.

The Lal Kuan market is called so because of a well painted in red. Like many other Old Delhi markets, this bazaar sells pipes, pumps, sewing machines, hardware, and colorful kites. The most famous landmark of this medieval market is the haveli of Zeenat Mahal, one of the wives of the last Mughal King, Bahadur Shah Zafar.

Before we proceed forward, let me share something interesting about the Fatehpuri Masjid.

A mosque- sold away to a Hindu

This mosque, built by one of the begums of Shahjahan, was sold off by the East India Company in 1857 to a prominent Hindu trader, Lala Chunnamal. The Brits were pissed off by the Muslims for their role in the mutiny of 1857. Many British women and children were lynched by the murderous mobs led by the sons of Zafar.

By selling this mosque to a Hindu trader, the Brits hoped to insult the Mughals. And it would have been very easy for the Lala to convert this building into a temple or some warehouse.

But he didn't. A few years later, Lala Chunnamal returned this mosque to the Muslims.

And today, the same guys tore down a small Durga temple in the same area. How thankless can people be?

Did they forget the donation of a piece of land by the Hindus of Ayodhya to the Muslims there for setting up a graveyard?

4-points that are important for Hindus

Anyways, the demolition of the Durga temple in Old Delhi by Muslims raises a few important points.

1. O Hindus, stop thinking that the RSS and the BJP  would rescue from the mlecchas. All these years, you have been fed with the belief that is only the BJP that can protect you and me. Whoever spread this belief should be rewarded with the 'Gold Medal of Propaganda'.

Do you remember Kashmir and the Kashmiri Pandits? When were they expelled from the Valley? Who was the Governor of  Jammu and Kashmir then? Wasn't that man Jagmohan who was appointed Governor on the insistence of the BJP?

There are so many instances when the BJP and the RSS disowned the Hindus. I needn't go into all of those.

2. Let's create a credible Hindu alternative to the BJP. Unless there is serious competition for this dhimmi party, it would not listen to our genuine demands. Over the years, the Narendra Modi government and the BJP are living with the assumption that there is no other party for the Hindus apart from the BJP. They have forgotten about the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. They have also forgotten that Yogi Adityanath in UP is not dependent on the RSS for his political future.

We need to encourage these institutions and individuals in order to force the BJP to listen to our demands. And let's begin by supporting the Shiv Sena in the coming Maharashtra elections.

3. Continue to attack, ridicule and question those in power through various means. Today, we can write a blog, send a tweet, and organize a political protest easily. If you don't have an organization, shout your lungs out. Use Twitter and better still- your website or blog- to make yourself heard. You'd be surprised at the impact you make.
In short, step out of your bubble and make yourself heard.

4. Lastly, discuss all these events with your children. Our parents raised us to be angry Hindus. Can't we too, as parents raise our kids to be apolitically aware Hindus as well? I am sure, we all can. Discuss the Durga Temple demolition issue with your kids and tell them how much Bharat has suffered at the hands of the Turks. At first, you will be ignored by your kids. But you must persist. Make them hear you out, and better still, encourage them to ask questions.

Do you think all this makes sense?

I am waiting for your answers and comments.
